Privacy
Short, because a static reference site does not have much to collect. Precise, because the people reading it work with children’s data and deserve a straight answer.
What we collect
Pixzton is a static site. There is no account to create, nothing to log in to, no comment system and no forms. We do not collect names, email addresses, student information or anything else unless you deliberately email us, in which case we hold your message for as long as it takes to act on it and reply.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. There is no tracking pixel and no third-party advertising script. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it does, and any tool we add will be an aggregate, privacy-respecting one rather than anything that profiles individual readers.
The site is served by a hosting provider that may log standard request data — IP address, page requested, browser type — for security and capacity purposes, as every web host does. We do not access that data for anything beyond keeping the site running.
Fonts and external links
The heading typeface loads from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s font servers when a page loads. That request is subject to Google’s privacy policy, not ours. Every other asset is served from this site.
Pages link out to Pixton.com and its help center frequently, because that is what the site is about. Once you follow one of those links you are on Pixton Comics Inc.’s site and under its terms and privacy policy.
This is not Pixton’s privacy policy
Anything concerning student data inside Pixton — what it stores, how long it keeps it, its FERPA, COPPA and GDPR position, its data-processing addendum, its parental consent letter — is governed by Pixton Comics Inc., not by us. Their policy is at pixton.com/privacy-policy, and their data-privacy documentation is at pixton.com/data-privacy. Those are the authoritative sources. Anything we publish about them is a summary written to help a teacher or administrator find the right document, not a substitute for it.
Children
This site is written for teachers, administrators and parents. Some pages are written in plain language so that a student can follow them, but the site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13. Because we collect nothing at all except email you choose to send, there is nothing to delete on request, but if you believe a child has emailed us, tell us and we will remove the message.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes — adding analytics, adding a form, adding a newsletter — will be described here plainly rather than buried in a rewrite.
