Pixton Login and Joining a Class
Sign-in is the single most time-critical problem in Pixton, because it fails in front of a full class. Pixton offers four different ways in — a join link, a class code, Google or Microsoft SSO, and teacher-generated usernames — and each one fails differently. These guides cover all of them.

What you need to know first
Pixton has no passwords of its own. Teachers and students sign in either through single sign-on with Google, Microsoft or Clever — all using OAuth 2.0, so Pixton never sees the credential — or with a username the teacher generates inside the class. Which of those a class uses is decided once, at the moment the class is created, and Pixton states plainly that the two class types are not compatible with each other. A very large share of sign-in failures are simply a student using the method the class was not built for.
The second big cause is the account itself. Pixton’s “No account found” message has four documented meanings: a different email was used at sign-up, the school email domain changed, the account was automatically deleted after a year of inactivity, or someone deleted it. Only the first two can be fixed. The third is the one that catches returning teachers by surprise, because Pixton deletes inactive accounts permanently and cannot restore them.
The third is school policy. Districts that lock down third-party app sign-in in the Google Admin console produce a Google button that bounces straight back to the login screen, with no error. That is not a Pixton setting and Pixton support cannot change it; the fix is an allow-list entry on the district side.

Common questions
How do students log in to Pixton?
Through the join link or class code the teacher shares, then either Google, Microsoft or Clever single sign-on, or a username Pixton generated for them. The method is set when the teacher creates the class and cannot be changed afterwards.
Can I reset a Pixton password?
There is none to reset. Pixton uses SSO or usernames and stores no passwords. Reset the password with Google or Microsoft, or ask the teacher for the username and login link.
Why does Pixton say no account found?
A different sign-up email, a changed school domain, automatic deletion after a year of inactivity, or a deliberate deletion. Pixton documents exactly those four causes.
